Parent Support group: NAVIGATING NEURODIVERSITY TOGETHER

This group is designed to create a supportive, compassionate space where parents of neurodivergent children can feel understood, encouraged, and equipped. My goal is to provide practical tools and meaningful strategies so parents can move forward with greater clarity and confidence in their parenting journey.

Navigating Neurodiversity Together is a six-week virtual series created to offer both guidance and community. At the moment, this group is for parents with kids ages 2-12. Check back for our teen group launching in September!

In this series, we’ll explore:

Self-Reflection and Core Values
Parents will examine their own values and how those values shape everyday parenting decisions. We’ll focus on building self-awareness, practicing self-compassion, and strengthening identity both as individuals and as parents.

Creating Structure and Predictability
We’ll discuss how to build routines that actually work, clarify expectations through observable behaviors, and troubleshoot common barriers that make consistency challenging.

Emotional Regulation and Coping Skills
Parents will gain a deeper understanding of emotional dysregulation, common triggers, and evidence-based tools to support regulation. We’ll focus on distress tolerance, flexibility, and practical coping strategies for both parents and children.

Communication and Connection
This portion emphasizes strengthening family relationships through open dialogue, healthy emotional modeling, and assertive, developmentally appropriate communication skills.

Parent Well-Being
Because supporting your child starts with supporting yourself, we’ll also address burnout, stress, and sustainable self-care practices.

If you’re looking for a warm, knowledgeable community to support you in raising your neurodivergent child, we’d love to have you join us!
